Back in Black - Venom at SDCC 2018
Hello all. There have been a few updates on Venom from SDCC.
Apparently, Venom's full suit was shown at the con and not surprisingly, it appears that the Spider symbol was missing on his chest. Instead, there were white veins resembling a Spider, which could mean only one thing - Sony is playing it safe. If this movie flops (which I don't want it to), Marvel will wholly deny its existence; much like what happened with F4 reboot. However, if it works out to be a decent movie, Tom Holland may face the Beast in Black. Who's to say?
Moreover, Venom's nemesis has been named - Riot. More beastly than Venom, this guy does not appear in the comic series as far as I know. Maybe Harrelson is playing riot (?). And also, Venom bites off a few heads in the footage - literally, it looks like. It was reported earlier that Fleischer is going for an R-rated take on the character. This sounds R-rated, not sure how it would look.
From what has been heard so far, I think this will work out to be a good, if not a great, film. The footage is not made available as of now. This could change.
