Movie Review : Furious 7

So the plot is basically this - the brother of the bad guy from the previous film wants to take revenge on the crew for crippling him. That is all you need to know. There's a load of computer mumbo jumbo in between that you won't understand, let alone care for. The story is a way to show off action scenes and nothing more than that. Who watches a F&F movie for a story anyway? All we want to see is cars getting smashed and by God, you have plenty of those!
That brings me to the action scenes. The action scenes are over-the-top times 3. I means cars go for skydiving, jump from skyscrapers and what not? You have more than enough action than you could ever want. As for me, I got an headache with the amount of explosions that take place on-screen. Too much action, I feel, is annoying. But it was entertaining nonetheless.
The acting was decent, nothing Oscar-worthy (DUH!). The fight choreography was top-notch but I felt they under-utilized Tony Jaa a bit. I mean he is known for his Muay Thai but most of his fights were in the dark, so I could not make out what was going on. Jason Statham, as always, was a British badass and The Rock, an American badass.
Score - 6.5/10
P. S. 3D viewing DEFINITELY NOT suggested.
