Trailer Talk : 007 Spectre
I am basically a fan of 007. I've seen all the movies, played all the videogames and read the books. To me, Bond is the manliest man of men and therefore, my hero. The last Bond movie, Skyfall didn't impress me that much. Now that the new trailer for his next mission has hit the web, here's what I think...
When the first teaser came into light, I was filled with rage. The reason was that, it felt too much like Skyfall once again. At this point, I gave up on Spectre. The trailer, however, punched me in the face and told me that I was wrong. This is what James Bond is all about. This is what Quantum of Solace or Skyfall should've been in the first place.
This is the first time we get to look at the new Spectre - the evil organization that haunts 007 and MI6. We also get a glimpse at who I think is Blofeld, the evil mastermind behind Spectre. We then have the usual 007 mantra - women, cars, explosions, guns, the famous kick-ass theme song and also surprisingly, the opening theme from 'On her Majesty's secret service' (at about 1:45). That was a nice touch. Actually, it feels like OHMSS in some ways - like the scene in the snowy mountains and Bond's costume and stuff. Overall, this trailer has proved me that there is still hope for Spectre and I wish the movie doesn't turn out to be Skyfall part deux. Here's the trailer:
