Trailer Talk : Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (Comic-Con)
Yeah, I know. As always, I am late to the party. A new Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer was released at the Comic-Con yesterday and I did not see it until today. Now that I 've seen it, here are my thoughts.
I liked this trailer from get go. It had enough suspense, enough action, enough dialogue and moreover it is longer than the last one (no dirty pun intended). I had mixed feelings for Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne but he looks promising amidst the action in this trailer. And at 0:51, is that the Joker!? It does look like him! And let's see...we get a glimpse of Alfred and *sigh* Lex Luthor. I don't like the look of this guy. I am not a great fan of the actor but Lex is supposed to be bald. When I heard the news that he is going to have hair, I was immediately disappointed. Well, we'll have to see where it goes. And then "HAHAHA JOKES ON YOU, BATMAN!" and then the friggin' Bat-Signal and let's face it, the Bat looks fugly as hell! I HATE IT! The Bat looks like a whiny, potato chips crunching, big, fat, smelly piece of 'Murica! And the hate's gonna be forever, I tell ya!
Moving on, we see Bruce Wayne's parents getting killed for the 10001787398003208th time and 2 seconds of Wonder Woman and some Kryptonite and then Frank Miller's Batman pose (cool af!) for a split-second and then a rather oddly delivered "The red capes are coming" line, though not as cool as "You will!". Overall, a very good trailer but I liked the first one even more.
